The women’s basketball team of Nigeria, D’Tigress, engineered one of the most dramatic upsets at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics by defeating the current World No. 3, Australia, 75-62.
It was the second-ever win of the team in women’s basketball at the Olympic Games and the first team win for Nigeria at the current global sports event.

Ezinne Kalu starred for the show with a difference, leading the charge with a great 19-point display. A natural player of immense talent, she did so much to help her side win.
This will be quite a boost to D’Tigress, since it sets quite the right tone for their performance in the competition. The next task will be against the host nation, France, Thursday.
