Binani becomes first female governor elect

Senator Aisha Dahiru, commonly referred to as Binani, has been officially declared as the victor of the Adamawa Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The declaration of the outcome of the supplementary election conducted on Saturday was made by Barrister Hudu Yunusa, who serves as the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state.
