Former Bayelsa governor dies in Abuja

Nestor Binabo, the former governor of Bayelsa State, has passed away.

 

According to reports, he died on Thursday in Abuja after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness.

Binabo’s son, Mr. Binabo Momos, announced his father’s death.

On his WhatsApp status, Momos shared the news of his father’s passing with the caption, “I thought you’d pull through, Dad. But God knows best.”

A family source close to the ex-governor disclosed that Binabo passed away around 4:00 am.

 

Nestor Binabo served as the governor of Bayelsa between January and February 2012, following the removal of Timipre Sylva by the Supreme Court.
