Method 1: Checking BVN via USSD Code One of the easiest and fastest ways to check your BVN is by using the USSD code. This method work for all mobile network like MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile. You should follow these steps to check your BVN via USSD code:

  1. Dial 5650# on the phone number linked  or connected to your bank account.
  2. Wait for a few seconds, and your BVN will be displayed on the screen.

The Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) BVN online portal allows Nigerian bank customers to check the status of their Bank Verification Number. (BVN). The BVN is an unique 11-digit number assigned to each bank customer in Nigeria that serves as a means of identification across all banks in the country.

To check your BVN on the NIBSS BVN online portal, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NIBSS BVN portal at https://www.nibss-plc.com.ng/services/ussd-validation-service.
  2. Click on the “Verify Your BVN” button on the homepage.
  3. Enter your 11-digit BVN in the space provided.
  4. Fill in your personal information, including your first name, last name, date of birth, and phone number.
  5. Click on the “Submit” button.
  6. Your BVN information will be displayed on the screen.
