Obasanjo set up Obi’s campaign – Adebayo opens up
The Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) Adewole Adebayo, who is running for president in the 2023 election, has claimed that Olusegun Obasanjo, a former president, organized and funded the Peter Obi campaign.
In a letter to Nigerians on January 1st, Obasanjo urged them to support the Labour Party’s Obi for president in the upcoming February election.

No presidential candidate is a saint, according to the former head of Nigeria, but Obi has an advantage over the others when it comes to knowledge, discipline, and what they can offer.

Adebayo, however, stated at a recent Rudolf Okonkwo virtual interactive session with Nigerians that he was not surprised by Obasanjo’s stance because he was simply being true to himself by endorsing Obi.

Nobody should act as though they are surprised that he supported a cause that he personally founded, supported, and raised money for, he said.
