5 free Online Cybersecurity courses at U.S universities

This webpage contains list of 5 free Online Cybersecurity courses at US universities.

Many American universities offer free online courses to anyone, including non-students, who want to get started in the cybersecurity field without investing too much time or money. There are also courses that are not prohibitively expensive.

The democratisation of these courses is due to a significant shortage of cybersecurity skills and talents in the United States and around the world. It is not only a talent shortage issue, but it is also a major concern for executive leaders worldwide.

According to a recent report, 80% of organisations worldwide experienced one or more data breaches in the previous year, which can be attributed to a lack of cybersecurity skills and/or awareness.

According to an Accenture 2021 analysis, the number of attacks per year increased by 31% to 270 between 2020 and 2021. On average, each organisation experienced 29 successful attacks.

According to Cybersecurity Ventures’ 2022 research, the number of unfilled cybersecurity positions has increased by 350% since 2013, from 1 million to 3.5 million. A master’s degree programme, employer-sponsored training programmes, and certification programmes are all available entry points into this burgeoning cybersecurity field.

The following are some free and paid courses:
