  • Tyson Fury Banned From Entering The US

Tyson Fury, the heavyweight world champion in boxing, is prohibited from entering the United States.

Tyson, 34, was reportedly denied entry to the US in June due to his claimed connections to crime boss Daniel Kinahan, although he did not reply to requests for comment at the time.

Tommy, a former Love Island star, has now acknowledged that both he and his brother continue to face immigration restrictions into the US.

Tommy stated: “Me and Tyson just can not get into America at the moment and that is the way it is” during a recent appearance on an MMA podcast.

The Fury family’s connections to Irish boxing promoter Kinahan, who has been sanctioned by the US, are thought to be at the heart of the suspension.

The US Department of State has also announced that it will pay rewards of up to $5 million for information that results in the arrest and/or conviction of three Kinahan family members. The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on Kinahan.

Due to the ban, WBC champion Tyson will be forced to limit his fights to the United Kingdom or the Middle East. Tyson last competed in the United States in October 2021 for his trilogy match with Deontay Wilder.

On the MMA Fighting on SBN podcast, Tommy was directly questioned about “the Kinahan situation.” Tommy responded, “I do not know (what is happening), that is what I pay my lawyers and my legal team for every day, they are sorting it and I said please get this resolved as soon as possible and that is where I have left it at the moment.

“I am hoping it gets resolved asap because I want to come to America not just for boxing and of course for the big one to get this fight over the line. However, if it does not get resolved for a long time, I can not speak on that in terms of how long this is going to take.”

However, if it has been a while, move it over here. Anywhere, I will fight that man; it does not matter to me. I am prepared to leave.

Tyson previously reacted to allegations that Irish boxing promoter Kinahan heads a large international organised crime network by saying, “That is none of my business and I do not interfere with anybody else’s business.”

The US-sanctioned Kinahan was seen with Tyson in Dubai in February of this year. Tyson said: “Just because I had my picture taken with a man does not make me a criminal.”

“I am only a boxer” Tyson stated.

In April of this year, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on Kinahan, his father Christy Kinahan, his brother Christy Kinahan Jr., as well as a number of Kinahan family associates.

Kinahan has been identified as a senior figure in organised crime by Dublin’s High Court.

Tyson Fury has received advice from Kinahan in the past, but Fury has never been charged with a crime. According to Tommy, his name “has been caught up in a mess.”

Even now, he continued, “I cannot enter America; I cannot travel there.”

I do not care about the boxing stuff; America is my favourite travel destination because of the food, the people, the weather, and everything else.

I adore everything about America, and that has kept me from visiting. In my personal life, my fiancée Molly Mae Hague and I enjoy travelling to New York around Christmas time, but we are unable to do so.

We are now limited in what we can do. Therefore, not just boxing is impacted. But the situation is still the same right now; I am unable to travel to America, which is why there was no fight.

“I do not think there is anyone in this country who would not attend that fight,” said the speaker. It would, in my opinion, shatter all records. We could certainly draw 70,000 people.

“Rest in peace, Takeoff, I just spoke to him,” Twitch streamer Adin Ross wrote. “I’m in a state of shock right now; I can’t believe it.” I hope it’s a forgery. This shit isn’t fair, bro, wtf.”

  • No More Rigging As President Buhari Vows To Support Nigerians To Elect Their Choice in 2023 Presidential Elections

No More Rigging As President Buhari Vows To Support Nigerians To Elect Their Choice in 2023 Presidential Elections

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, vowed to support Nigerians to elect their choice in the 2023 general elections.

The President made this declaration while speaking at the Police Conference three-day retreat with the theme ‘Imperative of the Nigeria Police Strategy for a Peaceful Election’ in Owerri.

He said he was interested in an election Nigerians would accept and be happy with the outcome.

At the same event, the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, insisted that the commission would abide strictly by the transmission of election results from the polling units to the INEC headquarters.

According to Buhari, “I am delighted to be at the conference. This conference will enable us to discuss the role and strategy of the Police as the lead agency in the 2023 election.

“It provides an opportunity to discuss the best way to achieve the 2023 election. I want to reaffirm that as the President, one of the legacies I will leave is the conduct of a credible and acceptable election and that Nigerians must be allowed to elect the President of their choice.

“That is the reason I signed the amended Electoral Bill.

“For us, the time is now for reform. That is why we are giving support to the Police that is why I signed the Police Trust Fund, and police academy to give the police a legal framework to work effectively’

“As well as the approval of a new welfare for police officers and approval and release of funds for recruitment of police officers as part of the way to address the issue of unemployment in the country.

“We want the police to remain apolitical. This is how our election can be credible. I charge the police to deliver the nation during the 2023 general election.

“Police should sustain their standards so that the outcome of the 2023 election will be the reflection of the people’s choices,” Buhari said.

Earlier, in his remark, the chief host and the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma, said: “My support to the Nigeria Police Force is because of the support I have been getting from my President, Muhammadu Buhari.

“I want to say this; the coming of our President is further assurance that will convince our people and Nigerians of the level of security of lives and properties we have achieved in our state.”

The governor said he learned some of the reasons the police chose Imo State was because of the “Successful containment of insecurity in the state and my continued support for the unity of this country.

“I foresee a very peaceful election in 2023 and that every election issue should be resolved without bitterness.”

The INEC Chairman, represented by a National Commissioner of INEC, Alkali Modibbo, said: “This retreat’s theme is apt, with elections fast approaching.

“As we speak, it remains four months to the 2023 elections. The relationship with the police will be from the bottom to the top.

“It is a symbiotic relationship, especially now with a voter projection of 93 million across the 36 states of the federation.

“Police require the collaboration of the members of the public. In addition, I am happy that this conference includes complying with the global standard in the security of elections.

Political parties should play by the rules. Parties should concentrate on the issue-based campaign.

“No more use of incident form; Ekiti state election was good. The Osun state election was better. The 2023 election will be the best.

“The results will be transmitted from the polling unit to the headquarters of the INEC. The commission will work with the police to conduct this election for credible and inclusive elections in Nigeria.”

Also, in his remark, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, said: “The focus of this theme is the 2023 general election is particularly significant for the security of our country.

“This retreat will unveil the strategic plan for the 2023 election. Our plans for the election will produce a credible election in 2023 that will be acceptable to Nigerians.

“The countdown to the 2023 general elections may present new security threats.

“However, we will provide the needed intelligence to make the election work.”

He thanked the President for strengthening the laws for effective policing.

  • Court Dismisses Bid To Stop Tinubu’s Certificate Forgery Suit

Tinubu’s Certificate Forgery Suit: The Federal High Court denied the attempt by the Tinubu-supporting group, led by Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, to be included as an interested party in the defence of Tinubu in the certificate fraud case that the Action Alliance party had filed against him.

A request to dismiss the certificate forgery lawsuit brought against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, was denied.

    Tinubu’s Certificate Forgery Suit

A faction within the Action Alliance (AA) party attempted to stop the forgery suit, but the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday rejected their request.

The Federal High Court denied the attempt by the Tinubu-supporting group, led by Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, to be included as an interested party in the defence of Tinubu in the certificate fraud case that the AA party had filed against him.

In his decision on Omo-Aje and his faction’s request for joinder, Justice Obiora Egwuatu rejected the application on the grounds that the prerequisites for such joinder had not been made available to the court.

Justice Egwuatu ruled, among other things, that Omo-Aje failed to prove his claim to be the National Chairman of the AA and failed to explain how his interests would be harmed if he were not included as a defendant in the lawsuit.

    Tinubu’s Certificate Forgery Suit

When rejecting the joinder plea, Justice Egwuatu stated that the group continues to be an obtrusive intrusive and troublemaker until their likely to be impacted interests are established.

Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje and Ambassador Suleiman Abdumalik, who submitted the joinder application on behalf of their group, were found to have violated the requirements for joining, according to Justice Egwuatu’s decision.

The judge further ruled that they had failed to present any sort of argument to persuade the court to side with them.

The factional group had asked for the lawsuit against APC and Tinubu to be dismissed in the joinder motion on the grounds that they (as party officers) had not given their consent for the lawsuit to be filed in the name or on behalf of the party.

The judge then gave the plaintiff (AA) till Friday, November 4, 2022 to present its case about Tinubu’s alleged certificate falsification.

In order for the court to decide the case within the allotted time allowed by law, Justice Egwuatu explicitly ordered that witnesses in the case be presented before the court.

In the lawsuit, the Action Alliance Party is requesting that Tinubu be disqualified from the 2023 elections due to an alleged certificate forgery.

Adding that the All Progressives Congress (APC) names be removed from the ballot for the 2023 presidential election after the party had sought the court on June 21 to prevent the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from doing so.

The party asserted in the Writ of Summon designated FHC/ABJ/CS/954/2022 that the APC and Bola Tinubu, its presidential candidate, are unable to run in the 2023 election due to an alleged act of forgery Tinubu committed in 1999.

Tinubu was accused of forging the university of Chicago diploma he submitted in 1999 to help him qualify for the Lagos State governorship election, which Tinubu won, according to the lawsuit filed on behalf of the plaintiff by its lawyer, Mr. Upkai Ukairo.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Senator Bola Tinubu are named as the first, second, and third defendants in the lawsuit, which was dated and filed on June 21.
