Zamfara commissioner resigns to become commissioner in Imo

, the Zamfara Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, has resigned to take up another commissionership position in Imo.

“I resigned my appointment as commissioner in Zamfara to allow me to pick another appointment as commissioner in Imo,” Shinkafi said in Gusau on Thursday to the News Agency of Nigeria.

“I am deeply grateful to Governor Bello Matawalle and his wife, Hajiya Aisha Matawalle, for their kindness and for allowing me to serve Zamfara in various capacities.

“All the rumors about my resignation on social media are completely false; it was all the work of mischief makers,” she said.

“My relationship with the governor and his wife is perfect and cordial. They are my family, and they were in the picture when I went to Imo.

Mrs Shinkafi continued, “Both Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo and Matawalle discussed it as fellow All Progressives Congress governors and friends.”
