The Director-General of a Pan Africa movement aimed at creating a better African society through Advocacy, Charity, and Education has declared his readiness to support any serious-minded individual or organization in the provision of Palliative support to the people during the stay at home period.

Stating this through his Facebook medium, the DG, Comrade Ibebe Rufus, declared that although he supports the LockDown Directive, he believes that not providing palliative support to the people would bring hunger which in turn can cause hunger which may lead to violence and break down of in the nearest future.

He frowns at the current state where government palliative support to the people is DISTRIBUTED based on NEPOTISM and based on Political association.

He declares his support to work with any organization or individual that would genuinely support the people while continuing on the awareness campaign through YEM AFRICA.

Below is the full statement as posted on his Facebook timeline.

LET’S GIVE PALLIATIVE SUPPORT TO OUR PEOPLE.

I have worked hard to spread the awareness on preventive measures about COVID-19 through the YEM AFRICA COVID-19 AWARENESS CAMPAIGN, where over THREE HUNDRED PERSONA HAVE BEEN APPOINTED AS BRAND AMBASSADORS.

I would be glad to join hands with any person or organization that would be willing to provide PALLIATIVE SUPPORT to our people.

I believe that the hungry in the land as caused by the LockDown directive of the government would cause a lot of problems in few days to come if nothing serious is done about providing support to the people while they stay at home.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY support the STAY AT HOME and ADVOCATE STRONGLY FOR ADHERENCE TO IT AS IT IS A GOOD MEASURE IN CURBING THE SPREAD OF THE DISEASE.

Staying at home while not working for food and not getting support from anyone would cause hunger in the land that CAN lead to violence and break down of law and order.

To me, while GOVERNMENT claim to be PROVIDING PALLIATIVE SUPPORT TO THE PEOPLE, THIS SUPPORT IS NOT EFFECTIVELY AND EVENLY DISTRIBUTED ENOUGH TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED GOAL.

We must search for alternative and more transparent organizations and individuals that would be bold enough to GIVE AND DISTRIBUTE palliative support to the people with CLEAR MIND, GOOD INTENTIONS THAT IS DEVOID OF THE CURRENT NEPOTISM AND POLITICAL MOTIVATED SHARING that we are experiencing in many quarters.

If I see a reputable organization or individual that is willing to SOURCE AND GIVE TO THE PEOPLE GENUINELY, I Hon Ibebe Rufus Akpobome would GLADLY join and give my SUPPORT to that project ALONGSIDE MY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON COVID-19 through YEM AFRICA.

This is a time to serve others. It is a time to give information to our people, and it is equally a time to provide palliative support to the people.

Hon. Ibebe Rufus Akpobome

Director General

YEM AFRICA
