WWE Fastlane 2021  Results In Full Details

This has been a pretty entertaining match. Both wrestlers performed really well. So many good high flying manoeuvres were nicely delivered by both men. Riddle pinned Mustafa Ali after he hit his finisher from the turnbuckle to retain. After the match, Retribution split up. Mace and T-Bar hit a double chock slam on Mustafa Ali to end the stable totally.

Match 1 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler defeated Bianca Belair and WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks

It was an average tag team action where Bianca Belair was given the most ring time. The match was not booked to promote Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair’s abilities but to start up their rivalry and put some bad blood between them. Sasha Banks was holding Shayna Baszler in the Crippler Cross Face submission maneuver, Nia Jax tried to interfere and Bianca tried to stop her. Nia pushed Bianca back and she fell over on Sasha which helped Shayna to slid out of the move. Baszler pinned Sasha with a roll-up pin. After the match, Sasha and Bianca quarreled with each other and Sasha slapped Bianca. Before Bianca could fight back Sasha left the ring. Heel turn for Sasha Banks?

Match 2 – WWE Intercontinental Championship – Big E defeated Apollo Crews to retain

A great match ended up in a botched-up finish. Big E has been shown as the more dominant force where Apollo relied on tricks and the right opportunities, as every face vs. heel match in the world. Big E was booked to pin Apollo with something like a small package hold, before he could even hold Apollo in the right position, the referee made the pin. The finish was totally botched. Big E’s shoulders were grounded, how could he win? It was more the official’s fault than the wrestlers. After the result was declared, Apollo beat down Big E badly.

Match 3 – Braun Strowman defeated Elias

Shane McMahon was earlier scheduled to face Braun Strowman but he picked up an injury on his feet, as a result, he could not be featured in the match. No concrete news on the injury whether it is kayfabe or not. About this match, Braun defeated Elias in a complete squash. Huge burial for Elias.

Match 4 – Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura

One of the more entertaining matches of Fastlane 2021 is this one. Both wrestlers did amazingly well. They have really utilized the booking time they were given. Nakamura dominated most part of the match but Seth was finally managed to pick up the victory after he hit a Curb Stomp on the Japanese warrior.

Match 5 – Drew McIntyre defeated Sheamus in a No Holds Barred match

This has been one of the most anticipated of the night which ended in a predictable way. The promo that was shown before the match was really good. This is arguably the most entertaining match of Fastlane 2021. Both wrestlers put their bodies on the line; they did their best to give the fans what exactly they want. There were minor botches but that can be ignored.

Weapons were used as toys in this match. There was in-ring action, outside the ring action. Overall, it was a perfect No Holds Barred match. In the end, Drew McIntyre pinned Sheamus with the Claymore.

Match 6 – Alexa Bliss defeated Randy Orton

It was the worst booking of the match. This match can single-handedly ruin the whole event. We would not say a match, because it was never been a match, it was more of a running and laughing from Alexa Bliss. Bray Wyatt’s return is not that shocking either because everybody knows he was coming back. There was nothing to talk about this match. Orton could not lay hands on Alexa as every time he tried he was hit by fireballs by Alexa. At the end, Bray Wyatt appeared from under the ring and hit Orton with a Sister Abigail. Then Alexa pinned Orton with the most disgusting pin ever.

Match 7 – WWE Universal Championship – Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan

This match was given the longest booking time and both wrestlers did really well. The outcome may look disappointing to Daniel Bryan fans but it is not. Roman did not pin Bryan clean. Technically, the match was won by Daniel Bryan as it was booked when the special ring enforcer Edge was down, Jey Uso interfered to knock out Edge and Daniel Bryan. Jey Uso carried a steel chair into the ring, but before he could use it, Bryan took him out of the ring. He tried to use the steel chair on Roman but he accidentally hit Edge.

After that, Bryan locked Roman in the ‘Yes Lock’, and Roman did tap out. But as Edge was out cold it was not counted. Edge then stood up and knocked out Bryan. He hit Roman too. But as it was shown, the chair shots did more damage to Bryan, as Roman slowly crawled himself over Bryan to pin him. Great booking it was to promote the Universal title match at WrestleMania.

Overall, Fastlane was a very good event and an excellent boost for WrestleMania. However, almost all the matches remained predictable. The only downfall of the event was Alexa Bliss vs. Randy Orton match. It was a massive downgrade. Without that match, the event was fun and enjoyable
