A sustained air raid, which began on Friday, dislodged the terrorists.

During the raid, some of them were said to have fled to Tsabre, Sarkin Darai, and Tiibale, which are located between Goronyo and Unguwan Lalle in Sokoto.

According to the locals, some of the bandits were seen in these three villages with gunshot wounds.

The raid was part of a joint operation involving the Nigerian Army, Air Force, Police, and the Department of State Services, among others.

The operation is being led by the General Officer Commanding 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, Sokoto, according to a senior army officer.
