, the notorious bandit, who was crowned as Sarkin Fulani, in Yantodo Emirate of Zamfara State, on Sunday, has spoken.

The bandit claimed he did not beg for the title the Zamfara State Emirate Council bestowed upon him.

He spoke with Deutche Welle (D.W) Radio monitored by Ejes Gist Newspaper.

According to the Katsina Police Command, Aleiro, the kingpin of the bandits, was wanted for the abduction and murder of innocent people.

Alero, the leader of the bandits, claimed in an interview with a foreign radio station on Sunday that he did not beg for the title but rather that the neighbourhood thought it appropriate.

He claims, “Honestly, I didn’t seek out the title; I was summoned by the Emirate, which at first I rejected.

“After discussing the development with our leaders, they advised me not to reject the offer since the new emir insisted it must take place in his emirate; that is how I accepted it,” he said.

In addition, he asserted that he was unaware of the perpetrator of the attack in Kadisau village in the Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, which resulted in the deaths of over 100 people.
