He made the offer in response to a Facebook post claiming that the employees had been fired.

The security guards, known as The Happy Boys, were seen dancing to the popular song “You Want Bam Bam” in the video.

When the video went viral, many Nigerians condemned the workers’ alleged dismissal.
“These boys are far too young to work as security guards.”

Anyone know who I could contact? “I’m giving a scholarship to a school in another country,” he wrote.

Security guards were also offered jobs by Ossai Ovie Success, Special Assistant to Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

“I have a job for them at Delta First Media.” Okowa’s aide captioned the photo on Facebook. I heard they were fired from Chicken Republic fast food for dancing while on duty.

They actually succeeded in bringing more customers to Chicken Republic with their dancing video, but with the sacking, Chicken Republic fast food only succeeded in losing more customers.

We live in the age of social media, and those guys should be praised rather than fired by Chicken Republic fast food for their free advertising.

Tell them I have a job for them at Delta First Media Asaba if you can reach them.

In a statement released on Friday, Chicken Republic, where the Nigerians work, denied firing them.

“We’d like to thank our loyal followers and customers for the feedback received on the various social media threads,” the statement stated.

“As a company, Chicken Republic encourages all employees to have fun at work, as evidenced by the numerous songs, dances, and “Nice, Nice!” chants you’ll hear in our stores while shopping.

“It’s disappointing that some people believe Chicken Republic fired these security guards because they were dancing in our stores; however, this is not the case, and we need to clear the air.”

We take the safety and security of our customers, employees, and assets very seriously, so we outsource it to a variety of private security firms that specialise in these services.

“When the private security company’s management saw the two security guards dancing in the video, they were concerned that, while dancing, the security officers were not necessarily performing their duties responsibly and, as a result, were probably not fully focused on their core responsibility, which is your safety and security.”

“There are always two sides to every storey, and we have taken your feedback very seriously as a company.”

We followed up with the security firm, and they assured us that the security guards had not been fired, that their dues had been paid, and that they had been offered retraining.

“We value your input and have listened to you!” We can assure you that we are in constant contact with the security firm and that everyone will be treated fairly and respectfully.
