Unknown Gunmen attack Abuja community, kidnap four Fulani herdsmen, injure scores


Gunmen assault an Abuja neighbourhood, kidnapping four Fulani herders and injuring a large number of others.

Unknown gunmen assaulted a Fulani village in the Dogon-Ruwa community of the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja, abducting four herders and badly injuring others.

The assailants stormed the neighbourhood with AK-47 weapons early Sunday morning, firing sporadically before taking the victims away to an unknown place.

The event was reported to newsmen on Sunday evening by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Ardo of Fulani of Gwomani chiefdom, Malam Haruna Gambo.

One of the victims, he claims, was abandoned on the side of the road after the kidnappers realised he was badly injured.

ASP Maryam Yusuf, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, claimed she had not yet received the complaint.

“Please note that no such incident has been reported as of 1500 hours today,” she stated.
