QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHING STAFF

A. Graduate Assistant

A good Honours Degree not below Second Class Honours (Upper Division)

B. Assistant Lecturer

A First Degree not below Second Class (Upper Division plus Masters Degree.

C.  Lecturer II:

A Masters Degree, plus one journal publication with at least three (3) years teaching experience at the university level or comparable institutions

For Medical Sciences, an MBBS, BDS may be considered. For Law. an LLB Degree not below Second Class (Upper Division and a call to Bar Certificate shall be considered.

D. Lecturer I

A Masters Degree, plus three (3) publications, two (2) of which must be journaled articles or a PhD with two (2) journal articles

E. Senior Lecturer

PhD with eight (a) publications, six ((s) of which must be journaled articles.
