The quarter-final draw for the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022/23 has been made, with group stage opponents Bod/Glimt and Jose Mourinho’s Roma set to meet again.

For the first time in 2021-22, a new continental prize will be awarded, with some big names hoping to make history.

Leicester and Roma are among the favourites to win the Europa Conference League in 2021-22, with the Foxes facing PSV in the quarter-finals and Jose Mourinho’s side facing Bodo/Glimt for the second time.

With plenty of confidence gained from a dramatic win over Rennes in the last 16, Leicester will believe they can make history by becoming the first winners of the Europa Conference League.

Brendan Rodgers’ team is now preparing to face PSV, a Dutch giant who is chasing Ajax for the Eredivisie title.

Jose Mourinho has won nearly every major honour in club football, and he will be determined to add this trophy to his collection.

Bodo/Glimt, who have already played 18 European games this season, have been paired with Roma, with the Norwegian outfit claiming a memorable 6-1 win over the Serie A side in the group stage.

How did the draw work?

There was a free draw for the quarter-finals, meaning no seedings or country protection, with ties numbered 1–4 for the semi-final draw that followed.

Was there also a draw for the final?

For administrative purposes, yes. The winner of the first semi-final will play in the final in Tirana on Wednesday, May 25.

Where is the 2022 Europa Conference League final?

The first final will be held at Tirana’s National Arena (Arena Kombtare), which has a capacity of 21,690 people. It will be the first UEFA final to be held in Albania, which is fitting for the final of a new competition.

When will the 2021-22 Europa Conference League quarter-finals take place?

The first legs of the Europa League Conference League quarter-finals will be staged on April 7, with return dates taking place a week later.

The semi-finals draw has also taken place, with a route to Albania’s capital mapped out for those still in contention.

Leicester knows that a win over PSV will put them in the last four, where they will face either Roma or Bodo/Glimt – and things aren’t going to get any easier for the Foxes.

Marseille and PAOK will face either Feyenoord or Slavia Prague on the other side of the draw for the right to play in a showpiece final.
