Two injured as bus rams into moving train in Lagos
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s rapid and prompt response to a train accident at Ilupeju Bye-pass, Ilupeju, on Tuesday, May 10, prevented a calamity that may have resulted in fatalities.
When the Response Team arrived on the site, it was discovered that a Toyota Hiace bus with the registration number EKY 888 XW had collided with a railway at the earlier mentioned address.

The accident occurred as a result of the bus driver’s careless driving.
According to additional information acquired at the site, all vehicles were stopped at the railway crossing, but the driver refused to heed the traffic officials on the scene, causing him to slam into the moving train.
Fortunately, no lives were lost, however two adult males were injured and received First Aid treatment from the Agency’s paramedics before being transported to the General Hospital for further treatment.

The bus was rescued from the railway with the help of the Agency’s light tow-truck and transported to Mushin Railway Police Station, restoring normalcy to the rail track.
The Nigeria Police Force, LASTMA Officers, and the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps were also on the scene.
