Twitter Permanently Suspends President Donald Trump | Donald Trump Twitter Account Ban
Due to the possibility of further incitement to abuse, US President Donald Trump has been permanently removed from Twitter, the company says.
Twitter said the decision was made “following a close review of recent @realDonaldTrump account tweets.”

It comes in the midst of the online platforms used by Trump and his supporters being purged by Big Tech.
Some lawmakers and celebrities have been calling on Twitter for years to completely ban Trump.

On Thursday, former First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted that the Silicon Valley giants should stop allowing the “monstrous behaviour” of Trump and permanently expel him.
On Wednesday, after he called the people who stormed the US Capitol “patriots,” Trump was locked out of his account for 12 hours.
As the US Congress attempted to certify Joe Biden’s win in the presidential election, hundreds of his supporters flooded the complex. The violence that followed resulted in the deaths of four people and a police officer.
Twitter warned then that if he violated the platform’s rules again, it would ban Trump “permanently.”
Trump posted two tweets on Friday, after being allowed back on Twitter, that the company cited as the final straws.
In one, he wrote: “Long into the future, the 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, are going to have a GIANT VOICE.” In any way, form or form, they will not be disrespected or treated unfairly!!! ”
This tweet is interpreted as further indication that President Trump is not planning to facilitate a ‘orderly transition,’ Twitter said.
In the next one, the President tweeted, “I’m not going to go to the inauguration on January 20th, to all those who asked.”
Twitter said this was “to be received as further confirmation by a number of his supporters that the election was not legitimate.”
Twitter said “in violation of the Glorification of Violence Policy” were both of these tweets.
“In a blog post on Friday, Twitter wrote: “We made it clear on Wednesday in the light of tragic events this week that further breaches of the Twitter Rules will theoretically result in this very course of action.
Our framework for the public interest exists to encourage the public to hear directly from elected officials and world leaders. It is founded on the idea that individuals have the right to hold authority to account in the open.
“He added: “However, we made it clear years ago that these accounts are not outside our rules and that they should not use Twitter to incite abuse. Through our policies and their compliance, we will continue to be transparent.
In the aftermath of the Capitol riot, some 350 Twitter workers had signed a letter this week to the company chief executive, Jack Dorsey, asking him to bn the president.
“The letter said: “Despite our attempts to serve the public discourse, we helped spark the deadly events of January 6th as Trump’s megaphone.
Trump tweeted from the official @Potus account of the US president after Twitter had permanently removed his @realDonaldTrump account, saying he would “look at the possibilities of building up our own platform in the future” and rail against Twitter.
But as soon as they were released, the tweets were deleted from the website.
“Trump 2020 campaign adviser Jason Miller tweeted in response to the ban: “Disgusting… if you don’t think they’re coming to get you next, you’re wrong.
The account of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and two Trump loyalists was permanently banned by Twitter earlier on Friday: former national security advisor Michael Flynn and attorney Sidney Powell.
Google suspended Parler from its online store later in the day, a self-styled “free speech” competitor to Twitter that is increasingly popular with Trump supporters.
Google said, “We are aware of continued posting on the Parler app that seeks to incite continued violence in the US.”
Facebook said on Thursday that it had “indefinitely” suspended Trump. The famous Twitch gaming site also imposed an indefinite ban on the channel of the outgoing president, which he used for rally broadcasts. So Snapchat has it.
This week, the e-commerce firm Shopify closed two online Trump memorabilia shops. Reddit banned the “Donaldtrump” site for supporters of the president on Friday.
Trump used Twitter to taunt critics, cheer supporters, fire officials, refute “fake news” and vent complaints, mostly to highlight his point by using all capital letters and exclamation points.
While critics said that the posts were a torrent of disinformation, the medium helped him get through media filters and interact with almost 89 million followers instantly.
His tweets were often notorious for the occasional spelling mistake, and sometimes he left followers confused with obvious mis-types, such as “Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” when he wrote.
Trump’s tweets were “official statements of the President of the United States,” the Department of Justice said in 2017.

It is said that Trump especially likes Twitter’s short format and his ability to reach tens of millions of people by pressing a button, bypassing the media.
The fact that Twitter’s decision was taken 48 hours after Wednesday’s riot at the Capitol indicates that this was not an easy step for the social media giant.
The forum has profited immensely from the participation of Trump, it has been the place to go to hear the latest from the world’s most influential guy.
But for a variety of reasons, Twitter took action. It says it’s because of the probability of him in the future inciting violence. But it’s also because his control is slipping away really soon. He is now regarded as an ordinary public member.
And as a mere human, repeatedly spreading lies, you will be thrown off popular social media sites by fake news and inciting abuse.
For those who say this violates the freedom of expression enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States? The point of Big Tech is that they are private corporations, not state actors. So, as they see fit, they are free to moderate their platforms.
Now, the big question is, can Trumpism thrive without mass media backing? Or is it actually going to fall into the internet’s shadows?
In May 2020, Twitter first took action against Trump by applying fact-checks to tweets he sent suggesting that postal votes were fake.
“Later that same week, when the president threatened to send in the military to quench Black Lives Matter protests, it posted a warning label, as he added, “when the looting begins, the shooting begins.
These fact-checks and warning labels were gradually used by Twitter during the year for Trump’s coronavirus tweets and the presidential election, resulting in a ban on Friday.
