Tragedy as 8 die in accident in Imo State
On Friday, May 27, eight people were killed in an accident in Imo State.
At Akabo market, along the Owerri- Okigwe Road in Imo state, two vehicles, a Hilux and a mini commercial bus, collided in opposite directions.
Unfortunately, both cars’ drivers and passengers died. There were no people who survived.

Meanwhile, two people were killed in a bloody street brawl in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
On Friday, the alleged street disturbance occurred in the metropolis’ Adifa and Centre Igboro areas.
The victims were stabbed to death by their assailants, who were identified as Lukman and Kudus.
The incident was confirmed by Kwara Police spokesperson Ajayi Okasanmi.

“Victims were rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital by men of the Oja Oba Police Station after responding to the distress call; the victims were confirmed dead by the doctors on duty as soon as they arrived at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.”
He also revealed that the gang boys’ suspected leader, who was also seriously injured, had been apprehended.
