Labour Party (LP) Chieftain Victor Umeh speaks on Peter Obi, Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate’s Strategy to win in the 2023 Polls
The Labour Party is enthusiastic and self-assured that it will win the general election in 2023 with Peter Obi as its presidential candidate, despite the widespread criticism and claims that the party is lacking in organisation.
Victor Umeh, one of the party’s chieftains, stated that he is certain that supporters from the APC and PDP will vote for their candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
Umeh stated that the party has all it takes to go toe-to-toe with the top parties and that they are scared of Obi’s popularity.
According to Victor Umeh, a chieftain of the Labour Party, the camps of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are in disarray because of Peter Obi’s rising popularity.
During his appearance on the morning show Sunrise Daily on Channels Television on September 14, Umeh, who is running for the Senate as a candidate for the Labour Party in the state of Anambra, disclosed this information.
The leader of the Labour Party expressed his optimism that certain members of the opposition parties, the PDP and APC, will cast their ballots for Peter Obi in the upcoming presidential election. Umeh said:
“I am aware that there are members of the PDP who will cast their votes for the Labour Party. I am aware that there are some members of the APC who plan on voting for the Labour Party.
The mission of saving Nigeria is of the utmost importance, and most people do not have faith that it will be successful if it is carried out on any other platform.
It is possible for the NLC to secure 12 million votes for Peter Obi- Victor Umeh.
Meanwhile, Umeh responded to the pledge made by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) to turn out 12 million voters for Peter Obi in each of Nigeria’s 774 local governments.
Umeh stated that the NLC possesses the actual structure necessary to make it happen, and that this will provide an opportunity for them to strengthen the union and put an end to the prolonged suffering they have through at the hands of previous administrations.
Umeh remarked this while simultaneously replying to taunts from the party that is in opposition, which claim that the Labour Party does not have a structure.
“People from the other party are currently in a state of terror. At first, they were making generalisations to the effect that the party is nothing important.
“Today, the Labour Party is their worst nightmare. Why has this happened? Is the Labour Party sharing money? The Labour Party is not sharing money.”
Umeh also disclosed the news that Peter Obi has not slowed down his consultative campaigning in order to increase his chances of winning the presidential election.
It should also be mentioned that Obi’s consultation encompasses all regions of the country and will undoubtedly provide favourable results and impact.
