Asake, the rave of the moment, made history on this week’s Top 10 Nigeria music Charts by becoming the first artiste to land eight entries in the top ten in a week on any of the country’s aggregate charts as his hit single ‘Terminator‘ returns to No.1 while Fireboy’s ‘Bandana‘ slips to No.3.

The sensational singer is the first artist to claim as many as eight entries in a single frame, breaking Davido’s previous record (7 on the chart dated November 23, 2020). This week’s chart is dominated by 6 songs from Asake’s debut album ‘Mr Money With The Vibe,’ former No.1, Asake’s ‘Peace Be Unto You,’ and record 7-week No.1 Fireboy’s ‘Bandana’ ft Asake.

Top 10 Nigeria music this week

Mr Money With The Vibe joins Davido’s A Better Time as the only albums to produce eight top ten songs in Nigeria. Furthermore, Asake adds to his list of top ten entries in Nigeria, rising to third on the all-time list behind two of the country’s biggest acts. Burna Boy (17), Davido (15).

Pheelz and Davido’s Electricity is ranked fourth, and Burna Boy’s ‘For My Hand’ with Ed Sheeran is ranked ninth.

‘Bad To Me,’ by Wizkid, debuts at No. 11 after only two days of availability during the tracking week. The song received 2.52 million streams (ranking 11 on streaming) and 14.4 million radio plays (No. 33 on radio). The song is now vying for the top spot on next week’s Top 100, with a slight lead over Asake’s ‘Organise’ and ‘Terminator.’

The Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula that incorporates audio and video streams within the country, as well as airplay on radio and satellite TV, according to the chart methodology provided by Turntable Charts (Nigeria Top 100). It is Nigeria’s first and only standard music chart, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song.

1. Terminator – Asake

Leading the way, Asake’s ‘Terminator’ which returns to No. 1 on the Top 100, its second week atop the chart after its top spot was taken over by record 7-week No.1 Fireboy’s ‘Bandana’ ft Asake himself.

‘Terminator’ tallied: [6.17 million streams, 37. 8 million in radio impressions, 13.6 million in TV impressions].

The song’s streaming sum marks the second-best in a single week in 2022 (since the launch of the Nigeria Top 100 on July 9) trailing only the 6.83 million of ‘Terminator’ in its debut week. ‘Terminator’ tops both the streaming and TV charts this week.

2. Organise- Asake ‘Organise’ tallied: [5.75 million streams and 23.7 million in radio reach].

3. Bandana– Fireboy DML ft. Asake

Record 7-week former No.1 ‘Bandana’ logs an eighth week atop the radio chart. It tallied: [3.87 million streams, 64.6 million in radio reach and 12.1 million in TV reach].

4. Electricity- Pheelz ft. Davido

Pheelz’s ‘Electricity’ with Davido drops 3-4 on this week’s top ten after three consecutive weeks at No.3

5. Peace Be Unto You (PBUY)- Asake No. 5:
