There is no doubt that Tony Okowa, being the Sports Commissioner, must have gone to the office of the SSG for issues relating to the Sporting event that is coming up in August. In the light of the above, I am using this medium to call on all sons and daughters of Urhobo nation to boycott the event in protest of the unwarranted, unprovoked, unnecessary and dramatic assault on our Urhobo brother, Hon. Festus Agas, the Secretary to the State Government.
We see the slap on our SSG by Tony Okowa as an act of gross irresponsibility and reckless impunity. It is a derogation of the entire Urhobo Nation and we call on all sons and daughters of Urhobo nation to rise up in cooperative action against the primitive response of Tony Okowa to the misunderstanding that he (Tony) claimed they had.
We specifically call on our daughter, Blessing Okagbare, our renowned Sports woman who is reputed to have brought so much pride to Delta State through her prowess in the field of Sport, to boycott the event as a mark of solidarity with her people who have been grossly humiliated by the despicable action of Mr. Tony Okowa.
We equally call on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to as a matter of urgency and as a mark of respect for the good people of Urhobo nation, sack with immediate effect, his younger brother, Tony Okowa, who took advantage of his position as younger brother to the Governor to act in a manner that is now heating up the polity and exposing the Urhobo nation to unprecedented embarrassment.
I am Billy Egbe
Speaking for concerned Urhobo Youths.
