Nigerian Police has Arrested Timaya after hit-and-run accusation. Ejes Gist Newspaper reports
Nigerian music star, Timaya Inetimi, simply has been arrested hours after he was accused of nearly killing a young woman.
Viral videos emerged on Thursday showing the singer being taken away by men in police uniforms.
In another viral video, Timaya can be seen explaining to the police officer while making gestures towards the car parked outside the building.
On March 2, 2022, an Instagram user named Osinubi Omowumi claimed to be the victim’s sister. He accused the musician of ramming his car into her after she confronted him about causing damage to her car.
The Nigerian Police Force stormed the music star’s home on Thursday morning in the latest development.
The singer was seen explaining what happened during the alleged hit-and-run incident to the officers.

He was taken away by armed police officers a few minutes later.

Omowumi accused Timaya of injuring her sister seriously.
“She is in the hospital now in serious pain and the funniest part is me messaging him to do the needful but this wicked fellow blocked me after reading my messages,” she wrote in part of her post.
She also claimed he blocked her on Instagram when she attempted to contact him.
