The NiMet forecast released on Thursday in Abuja predicted sunny skies on Friday, with patches of cloud in the north.

During the morning hours, it also predicted isolated over parts of Adamawa and Taraba.

“Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are likely over parts of Taraba, Kaduna, Bauchi, Gombe, and Adamawa states, with only a slim chance of thunderstorms over Borno, Yobe, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, and Kano.”

“Over the North Central region, cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine are expected, with isolated thunderstorms possible over parts of Benue and Nasarawa State during the morning hours.”

“However, isolated thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening hours over parts of Plateau, Niger, Kogi, Kwara, and the Federal Capital Territory.”

“Cloudy skies are expected to prevail over the inland and coastal cities of the South, with early morning thunderstorms possible over parts of Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Cross River, Ondo, Bayelsa, and Delta States,” it said.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected later in the day over parts of Ondo, Edo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Enugu, Lagos, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Rivers states, according to the forecast.

On Saturday, NiMet predicts cloudy skies with periods of sunshine over the northern region during the morning hours.

Later in the day, it predicted isolated thunderstorms over parts of Kebbi, Taraba, and Adamawa.

“In the morning hours, cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine should prevail over the North Central states, with isolated thunderstorms possible over parts of Kogi, Plateau, Kwara, Niger, and the Federal Capital Territory.”Thunderstorms

“During the afternoon and evening hours, isolated thunderstorm are expected over parts of the Federal Capital Territory and Niger state.”

“Cloudy skies are expected to blanket the inland and coastal cities of the South during the morning hours, with isolated thunderstorms possible over parts of Edo, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states.”

“Thunderstorm are expected in parts of Ogun, Oyo, Delta, Rivers, Imo, Lagos, and Bayelsa states.” Isolated thunderstorms are expected over parts of the states as the day progresses,” it said.

Sunny skies with patches of cloud are expected over the northern region on Sunday, with the possibility of thunderstorm over parts of Taraba, Kebbi, and Kaduna states during the morning hours, according to the agency.

Later in the day, isolated thunderstorm were expected over parts of Gombe, Taraba, Adamawa, and Kaduna states.

“In the morning hours, cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine should prevail over the North Central region, with isolated thunderstorms possible over parts of Plateau, Kogi, Niger, and the Federal Capital Territory.”

“The inland and coastal cities of the South should be mostly cloudy in the morning hours, with the possibility of thunderstorms over parts of Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Ondo, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states,” it said.

Later in the day, the weather service predicted isolated thunderstorm over parts of Rivers, Delta, and Bayelsa.
