Did Theresa Adiabua Oliko ask Deltans to pay $8,500 for the 2022 Competitive Examination for entry into Administrative and Special Cadres in the Delta State Civil Service Commission as published by Nelson Egware and replicated in Ejes Gist News?
Following a disclaimer by Theresa Adiabua Oliko, the Director of Information, the Ejes Gist News investigation team has carried out fact checking to verify if she actually asked Deltans for 8,500 for the 2022 Competitive Examination for entry into the Administrative and Special Cadres in the Delta State Civil Service.
According to a statement by the Director of Information, Mrs Theresa Oliko, on Thursday, “Delta State Civil Service Commission had no approval from the state governor to carry out any recruitment and it had not placed any advert for such, neither did it authorise anybody to do so.
But a post made by Nelson Egware, Senior Special Assistant (Media) on October 28, 2021, which is still available on his verified Facebook account, contradicts her claim.

Sociology, psychology, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Other Social Sciences, Liberal Arts, Banking and Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration and Agriculture.
The purpose of the written examination is not to text candidates in the subject areas of their degree but to text their ability to think clearly, to understand and write English Language and also their knowledge of Current Affairs, particularly African Affairs.
Interested applicants are advised to obtain entry forms from the Department of Recruitment and Promotion, Civil Service, N0 6, Life and Power Christian Assembly Street, off Maryam Babagida Way, Asaba, on payment of non- refundable fee of #8,500 (eight thousand, five hundred naira) only, in bank draft to the Civil Service Commission.

Entry form will be available for collection as from Thursday October 28, 2021. The closing date for the return of completed forms is Friday January 21, 2022.
Completed form must be accompanied with four (4) passport – size photographs and two (2) sets of academic credentials, certificate of Local Government of Origin, Marriage Certificate (where necessary, etc. Please note that entry forms submitted after the aforesaid closing date will not be processed.
Prospective candidates who are not Civil Servants should also note that passing the examination is not a guarantee for automatic employment into the Delta State Civil Service.
