Gunmen suspected of being members of the late Terwase Akwaza aka Gana’s gang attacked Imande Kundi in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, killing four people, including a tax collector.
Ejes Gist Newspaper has learned that the incident occurred just four days after bandits killed a community leader and eight mourners in a nearby village in the same council ward.
“The bandits attacked this afternoon in the same Mbacher council ward where they killed a traditional ruler and other eight people who were at a burial ceremony,” a source told our correspondent.
The incident had been reported to the Area Commander and Divisional Police Officer in the town, according to the Chairman of Katsina-Ala Local Government, Alfred Atera.
“It is true that some bandits attacked the same area where they killed mourners on Saturday and killed four people this (Wednesday) afternoon between 2.30 and 3pm,” he said.
