Kidnappers abduct three police officers in Ogun during Official duty hour

Three police officers have allegedly been kidnapped in Ogun State when it was still daylight, by  some unidentified assailants.

Ejes Gist Newspaper gathered that the police officers were kidnapped on Thursday in Wasinmi in Ogun State’s Ewekoro Local Government Area.

The police were from Zone 2 in Onikan, Lagos State, For an investigation.

Before leaving for their primary job, they allegedly underwent a proper booking at the Wasinmi police station.

According to a trustworthy source, the officers, who were being led by Inspector Oladipo Olayemi, were kidnapped by strangers who approached them at around 2:30 p.m. and took them hostage on the street.

Reports making rounds states that the commercial driver that drove the police officers narrowly evaded the captors.

Further information was acquired, including the fact that the Divisional Police Officer in Ewekoro had commanded his men to look for the missing officers.

People were kidnapped, but just one police officer was involved, according to Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesman for the Ogun State Police stated.

Oyeyemi assured our correspondent that the victims would be freed by saying that the police are pursuing the kidnappers.


“We are pursuing the kidnappers. Do you believe we will remain silent? By claiming that members of the anti-kidnapping unit are pursuing the kidnappers, we will find them and free the captives unharmed.
