The officer, driving a Peugeot 206 with the registration number RBC 179 TT, allegedly refused to take a diversion created to protect workers constructing the flyover and interchange at the famous Police Roundabout, which is named after the nearby police state headquarters.
DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that the offending officer had been apprehended.
