In Edo State, a community leader beats a lady to death for rejecting him.
Faith Aigbe, a 25-year-old woman, is said to have died after being assaulted by one Friday Ogieriakhi Iguodeyala, AKA (Drugs), who claims to be the Ohen of Uho in Edo State.
According an eyewitness, Pharez Okpere, the deceased was lured to the suspect’s house on Thursday, September 9 and allegedly brutally assaulted her when she informed him of her plans to marry someone else.
The young woman worked as a teacher in one of the community’s schools. Despite having four wives, she claimed Ohen had been pestering her for a relationship. Ohen enticed her to a location where she told him she was planning to marry him the day before yesterday.
Angered by the information, the said Ohen flew into a rage and savagely beat the young girl until she was rendered unconscious. Then he dragged her into his tinted Lexus 350 and drove her to the hospital’s main entrance. He arrived, parked his car, and fled the scene with the young girl inside.
The family began a frantic search for the young girl after she failed to return home after several hours, and one of the boys, Ohen, informed the family of her whereabouts.
They hurried to the hospital parking lot to look for the vehicle. When the mother discovered the car with the young girl trapped in the back seat, she attempted to force the car door open in the hopes that the girl was still alive, but hospital security stopped her and asked them to call the cops.
The distraught mother then rushed to Aideyan police station, where they were reluctantly accompanied by the police after two hours. Instead of quickly forcing the car open, the police insisted on towing the vehicle to their station, claiming that they lacked the authority to do so. The car was eventually opened, but Faith was no longer alive.
The young girl’s family is in excruciating pain right now, and the man, Ohen, boasts that nothing will ever happen to him. I’m pleading with you all to assist Faith Aigbe’s family by requesting that the police arrest and prosecute him right away.
