Attackers have been allegedly apprehended

Those responsible for the Owo attacks have allegedly been apprehended, according to General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff.

Forty worshipers were killed when some gunmen stormed St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

However, the Federal Government claimed that terrorists from the Islamic States of West Africa Province were responsible for the assault.

The Chief of Defence Staff announced the capture of the Owo attackers during a meeting with newmen on Tuesday in Abuja.

Irabor stated that the suspects would be paraded following the conclusion of the investigation.

“Since our last meeting, we have accomplished a remarkable feat,” he said. Let me draw your attention to the fact that during the same time period, depraved individuals committed ignoble acts that had an impact on our community’s safety, including the regrettable train attack, the attack on the Kuje Correctional Center, and what has reportedly been the attack on the presidential convoy.

“Also, the Owo incident, which was meant to gather military personnel and present them in a way that would make it appear as though the country is under siege. In Owo, we have detained those responsible for the heinous act.

“I had planned to show them to the public, but I had to reconsider because the investigation is still ongoing. I’d like to say that they and others who are responsible for other daring attacks in the nation will eventually be exposed to the world.
