The details were revealed at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday by Maryam Katagum, Chairperson of the Survival Fund Steering Committee.
The Guaranteed Off-take Scheme, which already has 50,032 beneficiaries, was also announced by Katagum, the Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment.
The Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Survival Fund’s last track, according to the official.
The goal is to reach 100,000 people, but only 65,976 applications were received by the portal’s closing date. The pre-qualification test yielded 50,032 entries from across Nigeria, which were shortlisted.
“We have successfully disbursed the sum of N56,842,780,000.00 to 1,079,323 people, including those who are registered under CAC,” Katagum confirmed.
“The Guaranteed Off-take Scheme (GOS), the final component of the Survival Fund, is set to go live by the Federal Government.”
The Guaranteed Off-take scheme was created to help small businesses cope with COVID-19, which caused a drop in demand for corporate and household products and commodities.
The start of the programme was delayed, according to Katagum, because of problems with other programmes, such as failed payments, balancing value, and ensuring state equity.
The beneficiaries must be Nigerians with a valid BVN and have a staff of at least three people, according to the minister, for verification and pre-qualification.
