, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has finally responded to Rev Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, about his recent remark about him.

Obi, according to Fr Ejike Mbaka, is a stingy man who will never be President of Nigeria.

For the first time in response to Mbaka’s outburst, Obi says he still respects the cleric and would have asked for prayer from him if he had been at the Adoration Ground on the day he made the statement.

“For me, Father Mbaka is a God-ordained priest, and as such, he continues to be my priest.” I will always respect the church and pledge my allegiance to it. I’ll take whatever he says because he’s my spiritual father. He is my brother, and I respect him.

“I pray for him whenever he says something wrong, and I pray for him whenever he says something right.” My contribution is prayers, and I love him no matter what he does. He doesn’t bother me in the least.

“If he says I am not going to be voted for because I don’t have money, I will pray that God will make those collecting money to vote to see reasons they should not do that.

“If I had been there, I would have told him to pray for me to get through it.” I’ve met pastors who tell me things, and I always tell them, “Since you’ve seen it, let’s hope it doesn’t happen.”
