SPIE Oil & Gas Services Nigeria is currently looking for a Field Engineer to join its work force in Nigeria.

Follow up the immediate resolution of critical and challenging system faults within the agreed MTTR :

 

  • Liaise with OEM for issues bordering on level 3 support on the equipment or network
  • Carry out analysis of routine maintenance report with the aim of proactively implementing any recommended corrective action
  • Implementation of major equipment relocation, equipment installation, network reengineering, reconfiguration and commissioning.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance on telecom systems
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on telecom systems
  • Implement the relocation of equipment in a given location extending to the district
  • Installation of equipment as specified in the scope of SERVICE
  • Manage device and equipment address plan related to radio and transmission equipment.
  • Keep up to update all telecom engineering documents.
  • Resolve level 1 and 2 issues on the radio and transmission equipment and network.
  • Implementation of any other technical duty as may be assigned by the CNM, SSE or Company.
  • Carry out level 1 intervention on the Data and Voice network.
  • Support the Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS) and FOPS teams.

 

Profile

 

  • A wealth of cognate on the job experience, equipment operations, maintenance and management as a Field Engineer
  • Bachelor Degree holder

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services UAE for a:

Electrical Engineer (Distribution Automation).

Job Purpose:

This is an opportunity for you to be responsible for supervision of installation, testing and commissioning works of Distribution Automation system in DEWA 11 KV substations while ensuring full health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of the installation of RTU panels
• Supervision of cable laying and terminations in DEWA distribution substation equipment & RTU panels
• Supervision of testing and commissioning activities.
• Supervision of completing all checklist and relevant activities as per the project plan.
• Inspection of material and workmanship quality.
• Execute additional assignments as per requirement of automation projects
• Ensure that DEWA safety standards if followed by contractor staff.

Operational:

• Supervision: Supervision of installation, testing and commissioning works
• Material management: project material to be checked and inspected in daily basis
• Site management: Monitoring progress and daily reporting of site activities. Assist in supervising site activities.
• Coordination: coordination with working parties at site
• Work procedures & Safety: Ensure implementation of project activities is as per procedures prescribed by DEWA. Recommend Health and Safety standards and codes for adhering to in the zones.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing different reports such as daily report for use of project manager.
• Confidentiality: Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the Authority, during or after employment in DEWA.
• Safety: Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA’s safety standards

 

Profile

Ideally, you will have a Degree in electrical engineering or engineering discipline from a recognized university with 4+ Experience in construction of substations and Cable laying.

You will be highly experienced in Distribution automation system (Siemens & ABB RTUs, DC system, wiring and PTP test, etc.)and preferred with past experience work in DEWA.

You will have professional knowledge of interpreting Electrical drawings, schematics and wiring layout.

You will have experience in Automation projects, RTU panel installation, MV electrical substation Equipment.

You will have a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in industry electrical software and systems and advance skills in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.

UAE or GCC driving license is mandatory.

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a Punch List Coordinator to join her work force here in Nigeria.

The Punch list Coordinator task includes:

  • Follow the overall punch list system and define priority in line with Subsystem completion.
  • Issue daily punch list progress reports & break down reports by discipline & material for the Construction Superintendents, Construction Manager and Commissioning Manager.
  • Review all punch lists issued prior to submittal to Database Administrator
  • Ensure that the Field Punch List form is filled in correctly and that the punch list items are properly described and pertinent to the associated system / subsystem and are legitimate with respect to project specifications, safety rules and industry practices before sending them to Database Coordinator for registration
  • Monitor and supervise the clearance of such items by the contractor and subcontractors
  • Make sure all punch lists from Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s) are cleared before Ready For Commissioning (RFC) walk down
  • Expedite the review and signing of the completed punch lists so as to ensure the completion of the systems and subsystems in a timely manner
  • Follow the introduction and progress of punch lists through all phases of completion dossiers
  • Coordinate the task completion and punch list management, tracking and updating the master punch list database.
  • Coordinate and follow up of material status in conjunction with the Plant
  • Supply Chain Coordinator making sure all specific punch lists associated with the delivered materials are being tracked, cross referenced and cleared.
  • Actively involved in construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning activities identified for specific systems and sub systems in the work packages to achieve RFC & AOC, line walking of systems with Supervisors for punch entry / closure.
  • Make sure Contractor follows up and closes out priority punches, doing a work look ahead to order missing material for priority jobs for RFC / AOC.
  • Export the spread sheet from database, populating, updating and filtering the database export spread sheet on a daily basis and distribution it to the Plant Construction Team on a daily basis.

Profile

  • Proven experience in construction and commissioning background within the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Previous experience as a Punchlist Coordinator in major Oil / Gas Project
  • OPERCOM methodology and ICAPS database experience
  • Extensive knowledge in Completion methodology
  • Must have a significant knowledge of the oil and gas industry, preferably gained working for an Operator.
