Man Confesses To Killing Brother with Rat Poison Over Land

In Akala village in Ezinifite, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, a man named as Kosarachukwu Ugwuka has openly admitted to being responsible for the mysterious murder of his elder brother.

On Sunday, July 10, Kosarachukwu made the confession in front of a well-known shrine in Nando in the Anambra East Local Government Area.

According to information obtained, the deceased, 35-year-old Chukwudi Josiah Ugwuka, passed away on April 27, 2022, after battling a number of unexplained illnesses and being transferred between hospitals.

The funeral for Chukwudi took place on June 23, 2022. The suspect announced his burial, according to the obituary that Ejes Gist Newspaper was able to see.

According to a family member who requested anonymity and described the situation on Tuesday, July 12, Ugwuka initially denied knowing of his brother’s death before being transported to the shrine.

The nephew, however, “stated that he is innocent, while Ugwuka continued to blame him, as well as continued to deny that he himself did not have any involvement in the death,” when both of them were grilled repeatedly.

The people were forced to use conventional methods in order to uncover the truth as a result. They were required to take them to a well-known shrine in Nando last Sunday and swear before the god there in order to establish their innocence.

“Ugwuka was caught and instantaneously rendered blind by the deity while swearing, which forced him to start confessing right away, after his nephew had sworn and been vindicated.

He confessed that he used rat poison to kill his elder due to a land dispute during that time.

In a widely shared video, Ugwuka could be seen begging and confessing before the shrine while being questioned by the people.

He claimed, “I used rat poison to kill my brother over land.”
