Abuja Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, who criticised Buhari’s government, has been sacked.
Sheikh Nuru Khalid, the Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters Juma’at Mosque in Abuja, has been sacked by the mosque’s Steering Committee for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari over the bombing on an Abuja-Kaduna train on Monday night.

The strategic mosque’s Steering Committee first suspended Sheikh Khalid.
However, the mosque’s Steering Committee fired him on Monday afternoon.
They blamed their latest decision to fire him for his lack of remorse.

Khalid informed The Nation that he had not received any correspondence to that effect.
Following his suspension, Khalid promised to continue telling the truth to authority, as he put it.
All attempts to obtain the chairman of the Mosque’s steering committee were unsuccessful.
