Segun Afolabi, a 26-year-old financial analyst and former president of Covenant University’s Nigerian Economics Students Association, was assassinated by his gateman and a neighbor who were both interested in the car he had purchased only a few weeks before.
The incident occurred at his residence in Gbagada, Lagos State, Following Mr. Afolabi’s death, the suspects wrapped him in his cover and placed him in the boot of his own car, according to reports.
They then drove the car to the Gbagada General Hospital’s entrance, where they dumped his body and drove away. Later, the gatekeeper sent his wife to Afolabi’s house to steal all of the remaining valuables.

The duo, however, ran out of luck after being stopped and arrested at a police checkpoint in Edo State on Tuesday morning. According to reports, the deceased was extremely kind to the gateman and was always willing to help him financially.
