Date of Resumption of every School both Private and Public |  School Resumption Date Remains Unchanged.

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has said, that the date for school Resumption in Nigeria remains unchanged.

According to the Minister, in a statement made available to newsmen, he said,  school resumption in Nigeria is still January 18 2021.

The minister asked school owners and parents to ensure learner ware facemask.

Recall on Tuesday, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 reported that the January 18th announcement of the resumption of schooling in the country had not changed.

Dr Sani Aliyu, PTF National Coordinator, said this while speaking on a television show.

Nevertheless, Sani revealed that the education minister has the final say on whether or not to alter the resumption date.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, had previously said on Monday that the Federal Government would revisit the previous date set for the resumption of schools across Nigeria on January 18 during a PTF briefing on Monday.

But Aliyu, speaking on Tuesday, revealed that the minister did not say that the date had been changed.

As far as schools are concerned, I just want to clarify, what the minister said yesterday was that they were going to review, he didn’t say they were going to change the date,” Aliyu said. He said they were going to review the situation and let the country know.

It is therefore still 18 January for the moment before the Ministry of Education comes back either with an alternate date or reconfirms that.
