The meeting took place on Sunday at Lagos House, Marina, according to a statement released on Monday by the Commissioner for Information, Mr Gbenga Omotoso.

“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has met with stakeholders as part of the consultations on the return of tolling to the Ikoyi Link Bridge,” he added.
“Leaders of the Lekki Residents Association and the Lekki Residents and Stakeholders Association were present at the meeting, which took place on Sunday at Lagos House, Marina.
“Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN); Commissioner for Transportation, Frederic Oladeinde; Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso; LCC Managing Director, Yomi Omomuwasan; and LCC Board member, Obafemi George” were among those on the government’s side.

“The visitors explained their point of view and demanded some concessions.” After giving evidence of LCC’s financial predicament and why tolling should resume at the plaza, Mr Sanwo-Olu decided to make certain concessions.
“Following the governor’s directive, the LCC management will soon announce details of the concessions.”
