Sacked Nigerian Minister, Speaks On Collapsing After Being Fired By President Muhammadu Buhari 

, the sacked  Nigerian , has debunked reports that he collapsed upon hearing the news of his sacking by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.

Ejes Gist News reports that the sacked  Minister slumped and was taken to the hospital after learning of his removal from office on Thursday.

In an interview with the BBC, Mamman responded to the widely circulated reports by saying that his doctors only advised him to rest.

The ex-Minister also revealed that he had been sick before his dismissal.

“Even before this step was announced, I was very sick, and I didn’t even go to work earlier this week,” he explained.


“So, I went back to the hospital yesterday (Wednesday) and today (Thursday) for another round of check-up; and the doctor advised that I needed some ‘rest,’ so I stayed in one place to rest.

“I found a relaxing and peaceful environment in which to rest and take the medication prescribed by the doctor. I didn’t stay at home because sympathisers were flocking to console me, preventing me from resting and recovering on time.

“But I wasn’t admitted to the hospital, and I didn’t pass out as was reported,” Mamman said.
