Red Alert : Fake INEC Voters Registration Website In Circulation (Check it Out)

In reference to the 774,000 SPW jobs promised by the Federal Government of Nigeria, reports reaching the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) show that some fraudsters have started sending unauthorized advertorials calling for registration for the said 774,000 SPW jobs. In view of the above, the directorate wishes to inform the general public as follows: That description of the implementation modalities of the 774,000 jobs are yet to be concluded That the registration for the program has not commenced That the members of the public should therefore disregard any publication calling for the registration on social media That the general public will be informed accordingly when the portal is open for registration That registration into NDE Programs is Free! On Friday, the Independent National Electoral Commission distanced itself from a bogus Continuous Voter Registration online portal, saying it had not authorised any agency or organisation to collect voter information on its behalf.

Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner of INEC and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, clarified the situation in a statement titled “Fake CVR online portal.”

“The commission’s attention has been drawn to a post that is currently circulating on social media about a website for INEC voter registration that is separate from the INEC CVR portal,” he said.

“The fake portal’s address is, which can be shortened to

*INEC wishes to express its complete distancing from this website and any activity conducted on it. According to the commission, no agency or organisation has been approved to collect information about potential voters on its behalf.
