President Muhammadu Buhari has named Deputy Controller General (DCG) Karebo Samson as the Federal Fire Service’s new Acting Controller General (FFS).

This was revealed by the FFS’s spokesperson, DF Ugo Huan, in a statement made available to our correspondent on Friday.
According to the statement, Acting CG Karebo thanked the President for the opportunity to serve while speaking at a handover event at the FFS headquarters.

Acting CG Karebo promised to ensure that the operation department’s personnel are motivated to do their best in their duties.
While urging FFS officers and men to maintain a high level of discipline, he assured them that he would support them in moving the service forward.
Dr. Liman Ibrahim, the outgoing Controller General, has ordered Acting CG Karebo to complete all of the Service’s ongoing projects.
Dr. Ibrahim expressed gratitude to the President for allowing him to serve.
He claimed that the current administration had transformed the FFS from a shambles to a world-class organization.
Liman Ibrahim claimed that his achievements at the FFS would not have been possible without the president’s vision to protect Nigerians’ lives and property.

He urged the Service’s personnel to give the Acting CG all of their support in order for him to succeed.
