Popular politician rejoins APC
Ojo Victor Asein, a former political advisor to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has rejoined the All Progressives Congress after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) (APC).
In recent days, a rally in Sabongida-Ora, the administrative centre of Owan West Local Government Area, saw the official announcement of Asein’s defection.
Asein was also a former local government chairman (LGA).

Adams Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the APC, was in attendance at the gathering and was there to greet Asein and his followers.
Oshiomhole stated, “We are here to welcome and reassign a very lovely room in our political family house to my son, Ojo Asein, and a number of people who have travelled with him.
“A leader’s greatest asset is that their word serves as their bond.

I want to reassure you that Edo will prosper and that we will return and pick up where we left off.
We are united right now, whereas they are split, so we will win, the former Labour leader continued.
The defector, Asein, spoke at the occasion and expressed his joy at returning “home.”
