Police Reacts As Gunmen drop robbery notice, demand N100,000 from households in Abuja Community

Residents of Mpape Phase 2, a community located near the affluent Maitama District in Abuja, have been seized with anxiety as a result of a notice given to the community by suspected armed robbers.

The message, which was intended to keep people on high alert for an approaching attack, stated that each resident must have at least N100,000 in cash or be prepared to be killed if they do not have enough money

According to information obtained by our correspondent, there is no exact date set for the planned attack, but the entire area has been engulfed in panic.

The Nigerian army and other security forces, according to the document labelled “Business Operations,” would not prevent them from carrying out the attack.

“Hello friends, this is to inform you that we will be arriving in this region for an operation very soon,” the message said. According to this letter, you are required to have at least N100,000 ready to make things easier for us, or else you would face terrible consequences. Nobody can prevent us from calling the police or the army if we so desire. “It is yours, The Arch. ”

In response to the development, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mariam Yusuf, encouraged members of the public not to panic and to remain calm.

According to her, she advised them to report any unusual movement to law enforcement authorities, stating, “The police are on top of the matter.”

Meanwhile,  gunmen storm an Abuja hotel, kidnapped the owner, an ex-lawmaker, and others, prompting widespread fear among residents.
