The operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested three suspected robbers who lured a UBER driver into the bush, strangulated him and made away along with his Toyota Camry, 2006 mannequin.
The suspects had been arrested on Thursday morning in Lekki, Lagos, after they had been on their technique to hand over the snatched automobile to a purchaser.
Daniel Alagor (28), Samuel Effiong (25) had, on Wednesday night time, requested for UBER and informed the driving force, Ekwomi Charles, to take them to Abijo GRA from Jakande Estate, Lekki at round 11:00 p.m.
According to the driving force: “On attending to there, they drained a rope round my neck from the again. Then, all of them began punching me until I handed out.
Thinking that I used to be useless, they took me into the bush and dropped my physique close to an uncompleted constructing.
They left beside me a knife after tying me. Thank God, I awoke later. I reported on the closest police station and ultimately, I learnt RRS men have arrested them.
