Mr Friday Eboka, the State Commissioner of Police, told journalists at the crime scene in Lorre Community on Friday, August 6, that the four suspects collected a ransom of five hundred thousand naira from the victim’s family, killed him, and buried him in a shallow grave.

In an interview with journalists shortly after leading the police team to the shallow grave, the prime suspect, Prince Odi, 27, said they killed the victim because he recognised one of them.
