Police arrest suspected kidnappers who gangraped newly wed woman in Borno

The Force Intelligence Bureau Special Tactical Squad (FIB-STS) has apprehended a five-man trans-border network that carries out abduction operations between Adamawa State in Nigeria and Burha, Fituha, and Kesu in Cameroun.

In Borno, police apprehend alleged kidnappers who kidnapped a newlywed woman.

The gang, which includes Abubakar Mohammed, 28, Shehu Mohammed, 38, Abdullahi Ali, 30, Abubakar Ali, 18, and Hussaini Sule, 18, all of Mubi, Adamawa State, according to a statement released by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, force public relations officer, targets wealthy individuals who own beautiful houses or cars.

The perpetrators admitted to the kidnapping and several rapes of a recently married woman in Borno state’s Askira Uba Local Government Area, which they freed after receiving a million Naira ransom.

“On the 11th of May, 2022, they were apprehended by operatives of the FIB-STS after collecting a ransom of 2 million Naira for one Alhaji Moni of Buladega Village,” the statement stated.

In Borno, police apprehend alleged kidnappers who kidnapped a newlywed woman.

In a related event, operatives of the FIB-STS nabbed the notorious kidnapping duo of Umar Muhammed, a 40-year-old from Mitchika in Adamawa State, and Musa Buba, a 29-year-old from Hong in Adamawa State.

They were apprehended at the market after credible information that they were going to buy food for their abduction victims. Even after a ransom was paid, the police said they confessed to many horrible acts, including the murder and beheading of one Alhaji Mai Gome.
