Pilot escapes death after plane crashes

A has escaped death after his plane crashed.


A small plane crashed on Gleniffer Lake in central Alberta on Friday afternoon, but the only person on board, the pilot, was unharmed, according to the RCMP.

Innisfail RCMP said in a news release that “recovery efforts are underway to remove the plane from the ice.”

“The circumstances surrounding the unintentional landing are not criminal in nature, and the investigation has been completed,”

The RCMP did not say much about its investigation or what happened, but it did say that the Transportation Safety Board of Canada was involved.

The crash was reported to police shortly after 2 p.m., according to police. The crash was attended by police officers, paramedics, and Red Deer County Emergency Services personnel.
