The media office for the Labour Party’s flagbearer responded on Wednesday, saying people who are fixated on structure and money politics are avoiding reality.

It stated that people who were harmed by the previous “so-called structures” were what was needed, not the “procured structure” or the N50 billion.

“Human humans, as symbolized by the Father, Mother, and Child in the Labour Party’s logo, power the Obedient Movement, not money. The human race is a much larger resource.

The office brought Fayose’s attention to the Kenyan presidential vote, in which William Ruto, 55, of the fledgling United Democratic Alliance, defeated Raila Odinga, 77, of the 2005-founded Orange Democratic Movement.

The statement pointed out that Ruto’s party only has one representative in the 349-member Assembly and none in the 67-member Senate.

Despite having 76 of the 349 Assembly members and 20 of the 67 Senate members, Odinga’s party was unable to surpass Ruto’s rookie party.

“Odinga had the support of the ruling party, the backing of the President and government of Kenya, their full institutions, and money while Ruto had people and the social media infrastructure behind him.”

The powerful lesson from Kenya, according to Obi’s camp, should demonstrate to Fayose and everyone else who shares his perspective that “age is a factor, money is not; social media is a component, but structure is not,”

The Labour Party candidate’s running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, was also mentioned by the media office as being on a mission to topple political institutions that have long held Nigeria back.
