Peter Obi to begin campaign in Nasarawa Saturday
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, the official launch of the Labour Party’s presidential campaign will take place in Lafia, which is located in the state of Nasarawa, in the north central region of Nigeria.
Ejesgist.com had earlier reported that the PCC of the Labour Party had moved the initial flag-off from October 20 due to the rampaging flood that affected 33 out of the 36 states of the federation.
This was due to the fact that the PCC of the LP wanted to ensure the safety of the participants.
Journalists were informed of the new date in a succinct statement that was released on Monday evening by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, who serves as the Chief Spokesperson of the LP PCC.
According to what he had to say, “Our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, had to visit affected states in order to empathise with affected states and communities across the country.”

“After his visitations, the campaign council of our great party has determined that it is important to earnestly start the campaign from the North Central geo-political zone of Nigeria.
This decision was reached after considering all of the factors involved in this decision.
“We call on our support groups and teeming supporters to make themselves available for a worthwhile campaign for the 2023 general elections,” the call reads. “We are going to win.”
Meanwhile, Recall that a few weeks ago, El-Rufai made the allegation that Obi, in his capacity as governor of Anambra State in 2013, had arrested and detained him.
Having been held responsible for the behaviour that El-Rufai had complained about.
Who Actually Arrested Nasir El-Rufai
In their joint counter affidavit to El- Rufai’s claims of unlawful arrest and detention, the SSS and AGF had asserted in defence that the Kaduna State Governor, who was classified as a “VIP,” was accorded protective restrictions when he refused the request of its operatives to give him protective company.
El-claims Rufai’s of unlawful arrest and detention had been made in response to the SSS and AGF’s joint counter.
The State Security Service (SSS) had claimed to have a “intelligence report” that El-Rufai would be harmed and that it would be blamed for the failure to act to give him protection.
Despite the fact that Justice Gafai rejected the assertions made by the SSS, the security agency had deployed its agents to the hotel in the belief that it would be held responsible for the failure to protect El-Rufai.
Because El-Rufai flatly refused to allow the security agency’s agents to join him while he was observing the elections, the security agency specifically claimed that it had no alternative but to confine El-Rufai to the premises of the hotel in order to protect him.
According to the findings of the fact check that was conducted by this online newspaper, Obi was not engaged in the arrest of El-Rufai.
