Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has slammed his counterpart in Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, for their roles in the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential primary election defeat.
When Tambuwal stepped down in favor of Atiku Abubakar in the field, Wike claimed his southern brothers failed to do the right thing.
Following his return to the state after the primary in Abuja, the former presidential aspirant spoke at a reception in his honor at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday.

“I’ve never understood how people can break rules and procedures.” Someone has spoken, and it was at that point that he would have said, “I’m withdrawing.” Wike said, “You don’t call him back.” “All I said was, ‘Look, this is our party, and it must not be destroyed.'”
“Let us not bother ourselves so much; it is God’s will,” Wike added.
“I have never seen anything like that,” he said, adding, “Shame on those who will sell out their own.”
“It’s no surprise that we can’t move forward with development. Look at how a region has banded together. Then your own region won’t be able to band together,” Wike argued.
“You became a tool to be used against your people’s interests, and you believe you have triumphed.” “You’ve been defeated.”
